ISSUE 19...

"YOU’VE DONE IT!"

I have just watched you walk across a tightrope.

Twenty feet above the ground, the long strong rope stretched out. There was no net to catch your fall.

"I’m not afraid Wendy," you told me before you took the walk. "I’ve faced challenges in the past. This one is no different."

I watched you maneuver above me. You mastered the tightrope as you took one confident step after another.

I watched you hold your head up and look straight ahead. You were smiling.

The practice walks you had taken earlier taught you that mistakes happen and sometimes balance is lost. But you still walked across with determination. You may have gotten tired and asked “Why am I doing this?”, but you never stopped.

You walked with grace.

And I know you live your life with that same grace.

That is how you have kept your balance.

YOU ARE SAFE

It’s all about movement.

Even when you were frozen by worry, you were moving forward.

Even when pain seemed to wash out your joy and momentarily blocked your light, you were moving forward.

You moved forward through confusion, through loss, through doubt.

And now here you are-stronger and wiser than you were before.

Each step you take proves 2 things:

-You are getting closer to achieving a goal.

-You have trust in the unfolding adventure that has become your life.

Maintaining balance in your life is like holding an egg in the palm of your hand. You have to be gentle and you have to be aware. You have to accept that in a split second something could bump your hand, the egg could fall to the floor and break, you’ll have to clean it up and then reach for another egg.

You will always get a second chance.

BUILDING

Never let anyone make you feel incapable.

Never feel ashamed for who you are and choices you have made.

You are here to share your gifts. You are here to teach your knowledge. You are here to let love soak through your body like endless falling rain and then let it radiate from your body like an unapologetic shining sun.

You already have everything you could possibly need to build a life you can be proud of.

You have:

-love

-kindness

-security

-faith

-courage

-wisdom

..and they are all inside your heart. Look at who you are and what you have become. Be aware of your own energy and how you are choosing to use it.

What have you been doing? What have you been saying?

Are you creating a life plentiful with the things that mean the most to you?

When things feel like they are completely out of control, know that you haven’t lost your balance. You haven’t lost anything.

Breath.

Come out of your thoughts for a moment and be present in the experience you are having right now.

Enjoy who you are. Enjoy what you are doing.

Stop criticizing the world inside of you that longs for acceptance and understanding. Stop criticizing the world outside of you that may have hurt you only because it is also hurting.

Be right here, right now.

Feel your balance. Draw a circle around you.

Create an outline with rules you have chosen to live by.

Consider:

-using everything you experience to help you learn, grow and evolve...don't toss anything away

-keeping an open mind

-preserving your body...keep yourself strong

-taking care of yourself so that, maybe one day, you may help take care of other people

-sometimes taking a step back, let out a sigh and say "That's just the way it is."

-accepting your responsibilities, always exploring your options and take definite action

--DON'T HURT YOURSELF...OR ANYONE

TRUE BALANCE

Why do you feel empty? What is missing?

When do you feel joy? When are you most secure?

Listen to yourself.

Take your intelligence, your creativity, your glowing spirit and your genuine intentions and turn them into a life that excites you.

Don't live a lie.

Don't live in the shadows of other people's expectations and other's fears.

Find your balance and keep it.

Balance is a process. To maintain it, you need to: respond, search, find, and remember.

RESPOND

When you feel the need to move forward in your life, listen to that need. Listen to your instincts.

SEARCH

Seek out what you need. Find the information, people, compassion, answers or whatever you need to help you move forward. Ask for help. Be open to finding your solutions from anywhere.

FIND

You will find your answers. Things will be confirmed for you. You will find parts of yourself that you forgot existed. Confusion will remove itself from your thoughts.

REMEMBER

Take each lesson you have learned and weave into your being. Become what you have learned. Remember who you are.

RESPOND--SEARCH---FIND--REMEMBER

I watch you live your life grace.

You are grace.

FINAL THOUGHTS

"Joy is not in things, it is in us."
